ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
| ੧ | IK | - There is but one God. |
| ੴ- ਇਕ ਓੰ ਕਾਰ = ਸਰਬ ਵਿਆਪਕ, ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ | IK Onkaar | - God is Powerful and all pervading; |
| ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ - ਸਦੀਵੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮੁ (ਸਦੀਵੀਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ) | Satnaam | God's name is everlasting; |
| ਕਰਤਾ | Kartaa | God is the Creator; |
| ਪੁਰਖੁ - ਸਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਸਰਬ ਵਿਆਪਕ | Purkh | - God is all prevading throughout the Creation; |
| ਨਿਰਭਉ | NirBhau | - God is without fear; |
| ਨਿਰਵੈਰ | Nirvair | - God is without enmity for any; |
| ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਿਤ | Akaal Murat | - God has everlasting existence; |
| ਅਜੂਨੀ | Ajunee | - God does not take birth nor God dies; |
| ਸੈਭੰ | Sai-bhang | - God is self existent; |
| ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ | Gur Parsaad | - Can only be realized by Guru's blessings. |
