ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੁਮ ਪਹਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ Tu Thakur Tum Peh Ardaas

You are our Lord and Master; to You, I offer this prayer.

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ Jeeo Pind Sub Tumree Raas

You are immanently residing in this body and soul.

ਤੁਮ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਤੇਰੇ ॥ Tum Maat Pitaa Hum Barik Tere

You are our mother and father; we are Your children.

ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥ Tumree Kirpaa Menh Sookh Ghanere

In Your Grace, there are so many joys!

ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ॥ Koi Naa Jaaney Tumraa Unt

No one knows Your limits.

ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥ Oochey Tey Oochaa Bhagwant

You are the Highest of the High (You are the Supreme as none is equal or higher than You) , the Most Generous God.

ਸਗਲ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਸੂਤ੍ਰਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ Sagal Samagree Tumre Sootar Dharee

The whole creation is strung on Your thread of principles, (i.e the whole creation is functioning according to Your principles.)

ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ॥ Tum Tay Ho-I so Aagi-aa-karee

All are created by you and all are under Your Command.

ਤੁਮਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥ Tum-ree gat mitt tum-hee jaa-nee

You alone know Your spiritual state and extent

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥੮॥੪॥ Naanak Daas Sadaa kur-baa-nee

Nanak, Your slave, is forever a sacrifice. || 8 || 4 ||
