Akali Singh Silkh Society holds a Summer Sikh Youth Camp for one week. Youth are given the opportunity to learn Punjabi Language, Keertan, Musical Intstruments, such as, Harmonium, Tabla, Sikh history including the history of the lives of the Gurus, reading of Gurbani from Guru Granth Sahib, learning Gurbani Shabads and to do Ardas.
Everyday, a guest speaker is invited who talks for about an hour on different topics.
Good food is served and games, such as, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, rope skipping and Tennis are played for an hour.
To join the Camp parents are advised the youth need to fill a Registeration form, available from Akali Singh's office, at least a couple of weeks in advance. There is no cost. Parents need to drive their children to the Camp site and to their homes on time.
